MSA account executive presents workshop at the SUBWAY® Summer Convention

Sheila Matthews teaches more than 100 franchisees how to "Lock Out the Competition"

MORRISVILLE, N.C. (August 9, 2007)
More than 100 SUBWAY® franchisees learned how to "Lock Out the Competition" when Sheila Matthews, account executive at MSA: The Think Agency, presented a workshop at the 2007 Annual SUBWAY® Summer Convention in Orlando, Fla. MSA, a full-service, integrated marketing communications firm and part of Think Partnership's (AMEX:THK) Think Advertising division, was the only advertising agency invited to present at the convention, which was held August 2 through August 4.

Matthews presented the "Lock Out the Competition" workshop twice during the three-day convention, informing franchisees from around the world how to leverage the power of the SUBWAY® brand in their markets and neighborhoods to retain sales and customers.

The workshop featured a marketing kit that Matthews developed to help SUBWAY® franchisees turn competition to their advantage. "The kit provides franchisees with a strategic marketing plan," said Matthews, "that will not only offset the opening of new competition, but also strengthen their profitability to grow sales and increase traffic in the long term."

The "Lock Out the Competition" kit is automatically distributed to all new SUBWAY® stores represented by MSA. It is also available as a downloadable PDF via the MSA-created SUBWAY® Insider Web site and as a hard copy upon request. Matthews added, "We are happy to share this information with SUBWAY® stores not represented by MSA. Franchisees can simply call or e-mail us and request an electronic version."
